Refunds

You get 14 days before any charge. If the first one still surprised you, we'll refund it.

The trial is how you evaluate this, and it is the whole application with nothing held back. But a policy that only works when everyone reads their email is not a policy, so here is what happens when they don't.

Draft — not yet in force. This document is written from what the software does, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and some details of the company it names are not yet set. Do not rely on it, and do not submit this site for payment-provider approval until this notice is gone.

Nothing is charged during the trial

The trial runs 14 days. Cancel at any point before it ends and you are never charged at all — there is nothing to refund because no money moves. Cancelling takes one click in your account.

Before you enter a card, the checkout states the exact amount and the exact date of the first charge. We email the same two facts when the trial starts, and again three days before the charge lands.

If the first charge surprised you anyway, we refund it

Write to us within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. You do not need a reason and we will not ask for one, and we will not offer you a discount to stay before we process it.

This applies to the first charge on a new subscription. It is not a monthly withdrawal option — after that, cancelling stops the next charge rather than reversing the last one.

Cancelling later

There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee, ever. Cancel whenever you like and you keep full access through the period you have already paid for — we do not cut you off on the day you cancel, because you paid for that time.

We do not automatically refund part of a period you are still using. If something has gone wrong rather than merely changed, tell us; we would rather sort it out than argue about a fortnight.

If we break something

If the software stops doing what this site says it does and we cannot fix it in a reasonable time, ask for a refund of the period affected and you will get it. Likewise if we make a material change to these terms and you cancel because of it.

You keep read-only access regardless

A refund is not a punishment. Refunded or not, cancelled or lapsed, the software stays usable in read-only mode — you can open, view and save your existing work forever. Your tunes are files on your own disk and we have never held a copy. The whole lapse policy is here.

How to ask

Email [support contact — not yet set] from the address on your account. A person reads it, and we aim to answer within two working days.

Payments are processed by Paddle as merchant of record, so an approved refund is issued by Paddle back to your original payment method. Your bank usually takes a few more days after that. Paddle's own buyer terms also give you rights, and nothing here reduces them or any statutory right you have where you live.
